Just standing around!

Abigail has been strong since birth. Here's her just standing around looking out at the lake. I'm, of course, nearby to catch when she loses her balance, but the girl loves to stand. We've also got the burp cloth under the face because the girl also likes to spit up...all the time!

Our Conversations

This is a more serious conversation. I haven't been able to catch the light hearted ones, but this is us chatting back and forth.

Miss Thang

These are two of my most recent favorite pictures. We're on to working out sleeping patterns and schedules. Any advice?

Three Months

Here's Abby's three month picture. We always do it in the car seat so we have the comparison. Here's her health update. The doctor diagnosed her with acid reflux because she had most of the symptoms. She was then put on medicine. There was also a concern that my supply was down, so I made like a cow and was pumping after every feeding - even getting up in the middle of the night to do it. Then, I went to a Le Leche League meeting. A nurse practioner there didn't believe it was acid reflux and gave me a nursing technique called switching and told me to put away the pump, stay home and just focus on feeding with this technique for 72 hours. Well, within two days she was doing well, but she was still on the medicine, so we don't know what to attribute it to. Once her spitting up settled, we took her off medication. She's been off for a bit now but seems to have a couple setbacks now and again. Just taking the time to continue the switching technique seems to work though. Now, we're studying sleep suggestions. She's not too bad of a sleeper, but we want to get the crib thing down while before she develops other patterns. She's a very social baby - happiest seeing others and being held by a variety of people. She's not too fussy - just has her moments. She's smiling a lot and dad has successfully extracted giggling a few times. Today, October 19th, she rolled from back to stomach for the first time. I don't know if it was a fluke, but we'll definitely have to be more careful where we set her. She uses her hands to touch a lot. She enjoys sitting at the dinner table with us in her Bumbo. I should try and get a picture of that. It's super cute. She's happier now during tummy time and enjoys story time, mommy & me yoga, singing, dancing, standing (with assistance) and is constantly flexing her stomach to try and sit up from a lying position. She can sit assisted. That's all for now.

This lightening storm was actually the night of Durrfest on Labor Day weekend, but we didn't get the picture uploaded until now.

Puyallup Fair

We had such a great time at the Puyallup Fair with my nieces, Emma & Elena, and my parents. This was back in September. It was fun to see the fair through the kids eyes and have excuses to ride some of the rides you did when you were younger. I was suprised to have been able to stomach the "Tilt O' Whirl."
