Cakes

This was the cake I made for the MOPS auction. I have made a similar cake for Jenn's wedding.

I also donated a cake to be designed for someone at the auction. Zach and Jennifer Miller bought this auction item for their daughter, Claire. Today we celebrated her third birthday with them at Chuck E Cheese. Here was the result of the cake.

Dedication

Abigail was dedicated to the Lord on November 23rd, 2008 at our church, Lake City Community Church.

Introducing Ada Jackson Walker

Our new niece, Ada Jackson, was born on November 25th. She was 7 lbs 11 oz and 21.5 inches long. She appears to have reddish hair and is absolutely beautiful.

Beware of Quiet

Although quiet does bring peace, I've learned that it can often be bad news...as it was a few days back. I was doing my make-up and Abigail was, as usual, intrigued with all the fun things. She knows what she can and cannot touch in my make-up container and is normally fairly obedient. Well, as I continued to get ready, she wandered away to where her toys are behind the couch. I didn't think anything of it until it was quiet for too long. When I went to check on her, I realized that she had somehow hijacked my lipstick, and this was the result.

It's a Girl

We had our officially traditional baby sex announcing at the Cloverleaf Pizza Tavern. Everyone comes wearing pink if they think it's a girl and blue if they think it's a boy. As you can tell by our shirts, we are pregnant with another little girl. The ultrasound was good. They say everything looks perfect with her stats currently at about 6 inches long, 10 ounces big and 55% in those categories. All of the important parts seem to be working, so we are thrilled.

Church Plant in Bellingham

This is the church plant my brother-in-law, Nate, and sister, Shannon are starting in Bellingham.

Painting

This was our first painting experience. She had fun. Of course, she wanted to get it all over herself, which I limited to a degree. She enjoyed the bath afterward, but I also had my first experience having a child poop in the bathtub. The joy!

Goofy Kid

This is for the benefit of people who live elsewhere. Just a little video of our kid being goofy at dinner.

Halloween 2008

Our friends, Justin and Laura Holmes (Fred & Wilma), had a Halloween party. Jeremy's parents took Abigail overnight so we could go to the party. There were some fun costumes and great people. Unfortunately, I was a bit sick that day, so we didn't hang around for as long as we'd like to. I hope they make this an annual event though.

We also had a fun day at the pumpkin patch with Abigail. Spooner Farms in Orting has it all, pumpkins (of course), corn maze, animals, an activity barn and dad's favorite, the pumpkin sling shot! The photo was actually taken by a complete stranger, with his camera! We had to talk him into taking a photo for us...the camera was not in its bag, so we didn't have ours even though we thought we did. oops.
